The Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together intend to conduct a contract award procedure for their international payment services. By conducting a joint contract award procedure, the Ministry of Defence can benefit from the scale of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ network. In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to consolidate the number of banks it works with. A new EU contract award procedure, the subject of this Market Consultation, will place international payment services in the market.
