2001391 - End review and appraisal for institutional cooperation between Hawassa and Mekelle universities and the Norwegian University of Life Sciences

Agriculture is the mainstay of Ethiopia’s economy.  Severe resource degradation, however, has led to the loss of agricultural productivity. The Norwegian government has been providing support to Hawassa and Mekelle Universities in collaboration with the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) since the 1990s through four phases. The Norwegian Embassy in Addis Ababa has requested the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) to carry out an end review of the ‘Institutional Cooperation Programme between Hawassa and Mekelle Universities and the Norwegian University of Life Sciences - Phase IV (2015-2019)’ that has been implemented through the Ethiopian Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MoSHE) since 2015.  In this tender there are two reports. End review report assessing the progress of the program towards its goals, identifying major challenges, providing recommendations and assessing opportunities for future engagement in the upcoming new program phase (Phase V), in the framework of Sustainable Food System Action Plan and an appraisal of program proposal for phase V
