CAMP+: PLASTIC WASTE RECYCLING and NON-BIOMASS BASED COOKING IN UGANDAN REFUGEE SETTLEMENT

The RFT has ended, you cannot answer the invitation.

NON-BIOMASS BASED COOKING This project seeks to develop / introduce a solution, by which cooking is enabled without the use of bio-based material, in such a way that it is economically viable for refugees to purchase. The solution(s) and implementation process should target both practical and cultural aspects of cooking. The solution(s) should be scaled and proportioned for use in a community cooking center where individuals cook their own food and have the technical ability to work in a school kitchen setup, as well as be adaptable to fit in an individual household setup. PLASTIC WASTE RECYCLING This project seeks to develop / introduce a solution, by which plastic waste is recycled and the material used to produce new products, based on renewable energy technology, combined in a mobile/movable building/unit. The process line must include solutions which processes and recycles the collected plastic and enable manufacturing of new locally commercially viable products or commodities commodities (e.g. chicken wire, baskets, building materials, etc.), which add value and opportunities in the local community. The solution(s) must be adaptable to produce different types of products, based on local needs and design processes, as well as include a business model for establishment, and operational aspects.
