RIJG 2017 - Tender for components for repeater and Wi-Fi system

DSB want to offer internet access to all passengers from the DSB passenger Wi-Fi service and/or from the passengers’ own devices by using their own Sim-card. DSB have agreed with all Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) in Denmark to install a Repeater system in four train types (IC3, IR4, IC4 and DD) and with MQ as an option. The agreement is designed so the MNOs shall supply the Repeater and DSB will supply the complete antenna system, including the installation of said system. Therefore, the Repeater is not part of this agreement. At the same time, DSB is running a tender for a new Wi-Fi system in DSB’s trains. That tender includes the internet controller, Access Point, internal antenna for the Access Point, switches and operation of the Wi-Fi system. DSB will install the new Wi-Fi system at a later point in time, when the tender has been completed. However, when DSB will be installing the Repeater system, they will simultaneously install the external antenna, antenna cable and LAN cable for the Wi-Fi system. Therefore, this tender only covers the components for the Repeater system, excluding the Repeater and components that already by DSB decided for the Wi-Fi system. At a later point in time, when the final design of the Wi-Fi system is known, DSB will purchase the remaining components required for the Wi-Fi system. DSB seek a supplier with the technical capability to deliver and support DSB with components (cables, connectors, rack, external antenna and other HF components) for the Repeater and Wi-Fi systems in the trains. DSB seek a supplier with sufficient technical know-how, so that the Supplier can provide advice if necessary. The preferred Supplier must have experience with comparable solutions, delivery and management.
