23/04212 - Forsterket firevalent vaksine mot sesonginfluensa for sesongen 2024-2025

The Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) is carrying out procurement of an enhanced quadrivalent vaccine against seasonal influenza for vaccination of particularly vulnerable people aged 65 or older (nursing home residents, extensive use of home nursing services etc). Enhanced influenza vaccine is a vaccine that is more effective than the ordinary influenza vaccine that is offered to other target groups included in the national immunisation scheme. The procurement is governed by the provisions in parts I and III of the Norwegian Regulations relating to public procurement (Forskrift om offentlige anskaffelser, FOA). From 01.01.2024 the Ministry of Health and Care Services has decided that the organisation and responsibilities regarding tenders for vaccines for the national vaccination schemes in Norway will change. For this specific tender, the tendering process will be run by NIPH, as before 01.01.2024. The signing of the contract will be done by the Norwegian Directorate of Health. Responsibilities regarding orders, logistics and invoicing will still be handled by NIPH.
