I forbindelse med planarbeider for en reguleringsplan og to byggeplaner for strekningsvis utbedring av fv.42 utlyses det konkurranse for geotekniske grunnundersøkelser og miljøprøvetakning. Reguleringsplanen er for fv.42 mellom Smedsland og Gydalen i Lyngdal kommune, og de to byggeplanene er mellom Bjørndalsvatn og Sveindal i Lyngdal kommune og Evje og Hornnes kommune.
