IND 1411 EU Saksham-451-416 - Social Innovation Challenge

Social innovation, a term that has gained significant traction in recent years, refers to the process of developing and implementing novel solutions to address societal challenges, often with the aim of creating lasting, positive change. In the face of complex global issues such as poverty, inequality, and environmental degradation, the traditional top-down approach to problem-solving has proven insufficient, leading to the rise of social innovation as a promising alternative. To encourage creative thinking and drive positive change, it is proposed to introduce the concept of “Social Innovation Challenges”. These Challenges will invite civil society organizations, entrepreneurs, and community members to collaboratively develop innovative solutions for prevalent social problems.
