Detailed description:

Hovedformålet med prosjektet er å erstatte den nåværende Eigerøy bru med en ny bru som skal bygges parallelt på sørsiden av den eksisterende. Når den nye brua står ferdig, skal den gamle rives. I tillegg skal det etableres en gang- og sykkelvei sørover langs Hovlandsveien, på dagens riksvei 426. Tilknyttede veier i området skal også oppgraderes for å sikre en helhetlig forbedring av infrastrukturen.
