In this project, the Agency for Green Transition and Aquatic Environment is responsible for collecting the water samples in June 2025, while the supplier will be responsible for analysing the collected samples with metabarcoding. Part of the work in 2025 consists of conducting additional eDNA testing in selected ponds inhabited by amphibian species, including: • Great crested newt (Triturus cristatus) • Smooth newt (Lissotriton vulgaris) • Common frog (Rana temporaria) • Moor frog (Rana arvalis) • Agile frog (Rana dalmatina) • Edible frog (Pelophylax esculentus) • Marsh frog (Pelophylax ridibundus) • European tree frog (Hyla arborea) • Common spade-foot toad (Pelobates fuscus) • Natterjack toad (Epidalea calamita) • European green toad (Bufotes viridis) • European fire-bellied toad (Bombina bombina) • Common toad (Bufo bufo) The main focus of the project is amphibians. However, the agency must withhold all the data generated during the metabarcoding analysis. The laboratory task consists of analysing 39 eDNA samples with metabarcoding (vertebrate marker) mainly to search for amphibians, but also other vertebrates in the ponds. The maximum budget for the performance of the task is 165,000 DKK excl. VAT. Tenders above this budget will be rejected.
