Objektet avser byggnation av väg 51 i nysträckning mellan Svennevad och
Kvarntorpskorset, ca 13,4 km. Den nya vägen utformas som en mötesfri 2+1 väg
med skyltad hastighet 100 km/h. Den nya vägen kommer att gå väster om
befintlig väg och passerar västra stambanan på en bro väster om Pålsboda. I
projektet ingår även slopning av två stycken plankorsningar (Kärrs Allé och
Fiskmanstorp) samt stängsling längs med järnvägen i Pålsboda för att förhindra
att obehöriga korsar spåren.
