På grund av den Reduktionsplikt som kommer att införas 2018 samt oklarheter gällande PFAD har Trafikverket valt att teckna endast ett ettårigt avtal. Under 2018 påbörjas en ny upphandling som avser ett längre avtal, där även bio bränsle ingår.
