Ett antal av Färjerederiets livflottar är föråldrade och Färjerederiet avser att ersätta dessa. Färjerederiet kommer att upphandla ett antal MES system samt konventionella livflottar i modifierat utförande. Färjerederiet har för avsikt att uppgradera 18 fartyg med MES under avtalsperioden samt avropa kommande nybyggnationer av fartyg med MES eller livflottar. Upphandlingen omfattar ett ramavtal för avrop av MES och livflottar inklusive service.
