Upgrading of Cobalt 60 gamma installation - 5118

Risø High Dose Reference Laboratory is an accredited calibration laboratory and designated laboratory serving the international radiation processing industry. The Risø HDRL Nordion cobalt-60 gamma cell GC220, serial number 220, serves as the national standard for high dose dosimetry. It was installed in 2007, and it was resourced in 2014. It is now needed to add more cobalt to the gamma cell in order to maintain the dose rate at a level where it is useful for calibration of dosimeters for the radiation processing industry.
