201401768 - Handheld GSM-R terminals including accessories

Jernbaneverket intends to establish a framework agreement for the delivery of GSM-R handheld terminals (OPH, GPH and OPS) including accessories in order to cover the needs within Jernbaneverket for such terminals. We expect that there will be a need to replace a certain amount of terminals currently in use by Jernbanverket. The number of terminals in use is approximately two thousand. The terminals must fulfill the requirements for GSM-R equipment as set forth in the EIRENE specifications and by ETSI. GSM-R is a secure platform for voice and data communication between railway operational staff, including drivers, dispatchers, shunting team members, train engineers, and station controllers. It delivers features such as group calls, voice broadcast, location- based connections, and call pre-emption in case of an emergency. GSM-R uses a specific frequency band, which can be referred to as the "standard" GSM-R band: Uplink: 876–880 MHz used for data transmission Downlink: 921–925 MHz used for data reception The framework agreement shall include accessories such as microphones, headsets etc. The supplier shall also be able to perform repairs and take care of guarantee requests.

The terminals must fulfill the requirements for GSM-R equipment as set forth in the EIRENE specifications and by ETSI. Repair and return will also be covered by the framework agreement.
