6748 - Optical Parametric Oscillator with idler

DTU will purchase an optical parametric oscillator with second harmonic generation and idler from Coherent. We will couple the OPO system to our already existing Titan:Sapphire (Ti:Sapph) laser Chamele-on Ultra II also from Coherent. This new module is an extension to our Ti:Sapph laser. This OPO will be used to expend our capacity to perform ultrafast spectroscopy from the visible to the telecom frequency range. It is our assessment that only Coherent can fulfil this. Therefore we intend to award this contract to Coherent.
