The DSC equipment is meant for thermal analysis of chalcogenide based glasses. Many of them will contain Se and S and also the very toxic element As. Highly important parameters for us to determine are: Melting temperature, glass transition temperature Tg, crystallization temperature, necessary glass forming quench rate etc
