Verksamhetsområde Stora Projekt ansvarar för att upphandla och genomföra Sveriges allra största och mest komplexa infrastrukturprojekt. Enheten Installation Öst resurssätter projekten med tekniska specialister inom Tunnelsäkerhet.
Tunnelsäkerhet omfattar personsäkerhet för de som färdas i väg eller järnvägssystemens tunnlar. Arbetet omfattar såväl förebyggande som skadebegränsande och fokuseras på brand- och farligt godsscenarier. I arbetet ingår att beakta funktionsnedsattas särskilda behov vid inträffade olyckor samt räddningstjänstens säkerhet vid insats
